Last Week, Staying Busy

We finished a project commissioned by the Neighborhood House.

We never stop working!  Late June/early July, for a time that felt too short, we went out of town to educate youth at the Neighborhood House on screen-printing and bookmaking (we made a post about it).  Which resulted in the Neighborhood House asking us to make books for future classes, and for anyone else who might want to learn screen-printing and bookmaking.

We wrote a book, How to Make This Book: A Do-It-Yourself Guide for Teaching Screen-printing and Bookmaking Techniques.  Printed the pages, then put 15 of them together by hand.

Inside the book are illustrations and steps to screen-printing your own design on the cover of a sketchbook, or journal, or notebook made by you.  The book includes two ways to bind your book together, and of course, the materials needed to complete all of the steps.

The book will soon be on Etsy and Storenvy as digital copies!

Again, thank you Neighborhood House.  It's amazing working with you guys and the kids.

With Love,

DORK
