DORK TATTOO PARLOUR
423 W. Chestnut Street
Thanks to hard work and the help of friends; family; and some beautiful human beings, we’ve converted an amazing location in downtown Louisville into a Tattoo Parlour: The DORK Tattoo Parlour. This new space will house all of our creative endeavours: the Social Club with the A.G.E Curriculum, a fresh gallery space, MUSIC and of course, tattoooos.
Become involved with DORK, and find out more below.
The DORK Tattoo Parlour will be providing art education classes at the space (check out A.G.E), producing goods such as t-shirts; stickers; and original art. We’re very, very excited to provide the space for small musical performances, and yes, we have ample parking. But first and foremost, we will be producing quality tattoos, always.
Take care of your tattoo! Here is some helpful advice on how to make sure your tattoo heals properly and maintains its color.
Open 1 pm - 12 am
Monday through Saturday

WHO WE ARE
DORK provided space for rent towards musical performances and artist studios at our location on 2010 Portland Avenue, and before that, in Memphis Tennessee at a little shack on Madison Ave. We recently have moved into a more encompassing location that will allow us to tattoo, as well as combine all the things we love into one space.
We are a small, and relatively new business—we are fine artists who firmly believe in supporting the creators, the musicians; the originators and the inventors.
Mark Brown and Doree Woods are the owners and operators of DORK; we are emerging artists with our Bachelors in Fine Art from Memphis College of Art. We are always seeking knowledge in creative expression, and from our own experience, understand the importance of sustainability for young creators—not only for their benefit, but for the economy of a city as well.
We have been working with local community center, The Neighborhood House, since the Summer of 2015 teaching youth how to paint, create and bind books, screen print t-shirts, design logos and create pinhole cameras. We continue to provide performing space for artists, and are always making artwork (even if we sometimes neglect to put it on the website).
We're very excited to have opened this new shop, it's been a long time in the making.
THIS IS OUR PASSION; THIS IS WHAT WE DO–BEING AN ARTIST IS FAR FROM A SELFISH PROFESSION, WE WISH TO SHARE WHAT WE’VE LEARNED WITH OTHERS, AND TO SUPPORT AND UNITE CREATORS FROM ALL FACETS OF LIFE.
To those who have participated in making this space become a reality and an alternative for creative individuals—No matter your form of contribution, we thank you.
